A useful agent should not be reserved for people who know their way around configuration files. Codex provides a strong foundation, but discovering a capability, understanding it and putting it to work are separate steps. Codex Pass aims to bring them closer together.

Start with a real task

You may want Codex to remember project conventions, assign planning and execution to different models, or simply find the switch for a useful feature. These are specific needs, but the controls can be scattered across configurations and tools.

Codex Pass brings configuration, model access, task collaboration and cost records together. The starting point is the work you need to do, rather than a tour of every underlying option.

Keep the client you know

We extend the experience from outside the original client. Daily work stays in the familiar Codex / ChatGPT interface, while Codex Pass connects and manages additional capabilities.

Features such as voice and images remain available through your official account where supported. Custom models use the APIs you configure. Connecting another provider does not unlock official subscription entitlements.

Understand what you configure

More settings do not automatically make an experience better. Model choices should relate to tasks, workflow choices should be understandable, and problems should leave a trail you can investigate.

Logs, session and project costs, and Doctor environment checks complement configuration. They help you understand what happened before deciding what to change.

Extend individual practice to teams

When several people use Codex on a project, new questions emerge: who can access each model, how should quotas be allocated, and how can project knowledge reach the next colleague?

The team edition adds resource management and collaboration to personal capabilities. Administrators configure providers, members use assigned models and quotas, and team memory and project handoffs help work continue with context.

Build from everyday use

Our direction is to turn lessons from sustained use into tools more people can understand. We want to hear where you get stuck, which choices are unclear and what makes an existing workflow hard to change.

If you are exploring Codex in personal work or a team project, share your workflow with the community. Concrete needs help us decide what to build next.
